TFA Thomas Fritzsche Architects
The TFA Project Methodology / Our USP
We strongly believe that in any project, only with a structured methodology can Economic Success and Sustainable Solutions be achieved.
At TFA, we established a unique two-stage methodology to ensure that our clients can realise market-compliant and tenant-centred buildings and interiors.
This methodology is grounded in our deep understanding of the real estate market, industry standards, and our extensive experience with clients' needs and expectations.
Simplicity as a problem-solving approach enables us in this process to tackle even the most complex problems or contexts by breaking them down into simpler components, eliminating unnecessary elements, and focusing on the most important aspects to find the simplest, yet most ingenious solution.
This methodology is our USP and sets us apart from purely design-focused firms.

Stage 1 / Economic Success
In the first stage of every project, our strategy team collaborates with the client to develop a project strategy that prioritises their economic success.
This strategy is tailored to deliver industry-specific and market-oriented solutions.
We analyse the local market and review projects of competitors to define the site usage, identify the target industry and its specific requirements, and assess functional diversity, mix, and area sizes.
Additionally, we investigate the availability of funding programs from government agencies or financial institutions and evaluate their potential impact on the project.
Moreover, we assess the environmental, social, and cultural implications of the project and explore its connection to the local culture and history.

Stage 2 / Sustainable Solutions
In stage two, our design team converts the project strategy into a sustainable design solution that is both future-ready and efficient in every aspect.
We identify all essential elements of the project and develop them through eight steps, utilising the simplest, most efficient, and cost-effective methods.
1. Orientation and Layout
2. Building Volume and Form
3. Envelop and Sun Shading
4. Structure and Floor Heights
5. Circulation Systems.
6. Building Services
7. Materials and Details
8. Standardisation and Prefabrication
